Scheduler

  • Through the scheduler, dispatchers or other users can give the pilots a helping hand by pre-filling certain itinerary details associated with a booking. Itinerary templates are now available for selection through the scheduler

Flight Reports

  • We’ve received feedback of duplicate flight reports being created for a single itinerary. To address the issue we’ve added additional cross checks to prevent duplicates from being submitted due to poor internet connections
  • Previously, when an admin user deleted a flight report it went back to the pilot user as an unreported itinerary. Admin users can now choose to either delete a flight report or delete and send back to the pilot as a unreported itinerary

Maps and Charts

  • The fuel planning tool was displaying the incorrect range on initial load. Rest assured, this has been fixed and displays as expected
  • There was a pesky bug with the direct to tool in the maps and charts module that would bring up the airport information of the last selected airport and not the current airport being navigated to. It has been fixed, meaning no more unnecessary scrolling to get back on track

Flight Itineraries

  • Sometimes you’re running a little late and need to add time to your itinerary. If you extend your return time via SMS the confirmation text now includes the updated time
  • When creating an itinerary the return time now shows your current timezone
  • When filing an itinerary, the custom fields that aren’t required are organized in a collapsable menu titled additional flight information. It’s not a big change but we think it cleans it up a bit
  • We received plenty of great input on the initial release of the operational flight plan tools and reporting. This release includes a lot of those improvements and suggestions
  • Flight itinerary templates that have fuel plans will now automatically update the planned winds and temperatures along the route

Passenger Manifesting

  • Passenger manifesting now has limited offline capability

General

  • We have received some reports of issues with offline data syncing improperly once back in a connection. To help avoid any conflicts with offline data, a counter at the top of the home screen will display the number of offline items still waiting to be synced
  • No one likes to lose information that then needs to be added once again. To avoid this we added a reminder to send offline data when attempting to logout with items waiting to be synced
  • We added a low bandwidth option to the main dashboard that can be toggled to enhance performance when working with restricted internet access. Toggling the option on will disable certain Cirro functions that run in the background in order to improve performance
  • As part of our work to improve functionality in areas with limited internet connection we improved the synchronization framework to detect poor internet connectivity for offline startup

Flight Planning

  • You can now toggle on the operational flight plan features for a specific aircraft
  • Alright we admit it, the yellow highlighting in the flight following module for VIP flights was a bit confusing. We adjusted the highlighting to hopefully improve how VIP flights are displayed
  • We added a new feature that allows users to optionally assign a different GPS tracker to an aircraft prior to each flight

Expenses and Billing

  • We expanded the options for the bill customer by setting in the clients and jobs module. You can now choose from Acres, Hectares, Sq km, Sq SM, Sq NM

Admin and Reporting

  • The itinerary reports feature has been reworked to limit the amount of data being sent. Users experiencing issues with large requests will notice a much more rapid response when pulling the itinerary report

General

  • We fixed an issue with the FDT CSV export not displaying the headers correctly
  • The timezone calculation was off for the aircraft position reports when using the today setting. Consider that bug squashed!
  • There was an issue in the FDT module affecting the next day off calculation for CAR 702/703 operators that sometimes led to an incorrect value. This has been fixed and displays as expected

  • Fixed a pesky issue where custom signature fields could disappear when rotating mobile devices
  • Previous to this release, entering flight report leg times using the number pad would lead to unexpected input behaviour. This has been resolved and the number pad works as it should
  • We added flight report attachments to the billing and invoicing admin report
  • We fixed a rather unsightly display issue that was caused by the description text of a custom signature not wrapping properly
  • Fixed an issue limiting flight report leg descriptions to only 10 characters

  • The aircraft history wasn’t properly displaying the entire track for certain options but now does
  • We fixed a bug in the route planning tool that resulted in the default fuel range values being selected despite user input

  • We fixed a weight and balance bug that prevented aircraft scaled weight changes from calculating past the first record
  • We realized that the US Chart C weight and balance report was missing the field to add the weight change date. This is now available when creating a new amendment
  • We added decimal value support for the weight and balance graphs so that the labels are more accurate

Flight Duty Time Tracking

  • Fixed a bug that resulted in the wrong ‘next day off’ value for 704 / 705 operators

Scheduler

  • Fixed an issue where staff scheduler changes weren’t saving properly on iOS devices
  • The scheduler change notification emails were listing the person who created the booking as the person who made the change. The notification email now properly displays the user responsible for making the change

Expenses

  • There was an issue displaying large PDF expense attachments in the admin preview window. With this latest fix, you can go back to adding those large PDF’s!

Company Library

  • Certificates with a URL weren’t properly opening on iOS devices. We added a few additional 1’s and 0’s and the problem has been resolved

Billing and Invoicing

  • When you create a new job it is assigned a job number. However, we realized that the job number value wasn’t displayed in the active jobs list when creating a new invoice. It’s now available along with the job ID number

Some of you may have experienced some lag when navigating within the company library module. We’ve made some improvements and it’s much snappier.

The weekly digest email has been a point of contention for some of you. Good news, you can now select whether you would like to receive the weekly digest e-mail or not
Users can now indicate more personal health notes as well as their blood type should transfusions be necessary during an emergency
Cirro now integrates with AeroStudies’ Ascent LMS, allowing you to attach training courses to Cirro certificates. Making it easy to automatically track completed training and user progress
Certificate management can now be restricted to certain people or opened up to all users with a quality assurance option
Certificates can be marked as ‘essential’. This is meant to highlight critical certificates users need to be able to do their job. Certificates are also now shown in a more orderly fashion
Admin maintenance users can now hide conflicting temporary configurations on the weight and balance report  and can account for weight changes that are applied to the aircraft scaled weight
Admin staff can create scheduler roles which must be filled on a per-booking basis; ie Pilot, First Office, Engineer/Mechanic, etc

What’s new

We polished up the user settings module. Both regular and admin users will notice the visual difference – a little fresher, and a little simpler. Hopefully. In addition to the visual changes,  admin users can now select safety management messaging options from the user settings. Doing so will adjust which departments you receive notifications for.
You might notice that the Maps and Charts module is looking a little different. Several new features have been added as well as some UI changes. Of interest is the ‘nearby features’ option, allowing you to see the closest:
– Points of interest
– Obstacles
– Airdromes
– Nav Aids
– Waypoints

To access the nearby features tool click on the new search icon underneath the direct-to-tool. The list is populated based on either your GPS location or where the map is centred.

Sticking with Maps and Charts, you can now also search aircraft history by date and time range. To do so, click on the Aircraft icon in the top right corner of Maps and Charts and toggle the Aircraft History to Date / Time Range.
Lastly, we’ve also added a new measurement tool that is selectable from the left hand menu and made the airdrome reference information more easily accessible while using the direct-to-tool.
The scheduler was updated with a much requested feature to assign aircraft and personnel to different bases. When creating a booking you can now select staff and aircraft from a particular base.
There was an unfortunate bug that would prevent the synchronization process after deleted aircraft experience. Fortunately that bug is no more.

What’s new

It’s training day, but without Denzel Washington and not nearly as griping. We’ve added some new training material detailing pilot information sheets to the Cirro help documents. Have a look!
A myriad of safety management changes have been made, including better access control and event history for all safety reports and the ability to add tasks to policy objectives.
Pilots flying more than one aircraft in a day found themselves in the unenviable situation of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole when entering in their flight duty times.  We’ve tinkered with the flight duty time module and it’s now more flexible. Pilots can enter flight duty times for multiple aircraft in a given day.
Where are all our Indonesian friends at! We now have offline charts for Indonesia.
Ever wonder about how nice it would be to see duty times from the scheduler? Good news –  now you can!
Wait, one more scheduler thing. You can now also see flight reports from the scheduler.
Persistence pays off and flight followers are a persistent bunch. You can now edit and action itineraries as well as bookings, assuming you have the right permissions.
Remember when you could only add or delete aircraft in Cirro. Good times. Well now you can update the availability/status of an aircraft without having to delete.

What’s new

What’s new

Sometimes you just have to print. Safety reports can now be printed as PDF’s
When submitting a report, you can note any actions already taken or suggest actions to be taken. You can also attach PDF’s to a report.
It was brought to our attention that the naming scheme for report stages wasn’t clear. We fired our UI designer and updated the naming scheme.
Admins can now define standard time spans for CAP terms. CAP stages are now shown in their respective scheduler entries
Keeping up with safety management updates, responsible executives must now approve policies with their signature. Also, admin users can upload PDF’s associated with policies and objectives
Added multi booking functionality. Scheduled events can now have multiple users or aircraft added at different times within a particular booking.
Updated the way the hobbs times are sorted. As a result, it is easier to manage times added out of order or incorrectly
